I know each day we wake up to news, updates and changes in our lives due to the COVID-19 virus.  It can bring up a lot of fear, anxiety and grief.  Feeling alone and isolated is not uncommon for this time.

Your physical and emotional health are my greatest focus.  Because of public policy on social distancing, my practice has moved to telehealth or phone sessions to ensure you have access to care during this time.

This is a temporary measure as one day the COVID-19 will pass.  I have three options based on your needs:

  • ·  Video sessions
  • ·  Phone sessions
  • ·  Short 20-minute check-ins.

Some of you may have financial limitations right now.  I am able to offer reduced, sliding scale fees based on your needs.  Your emotional and mental health are important to me and I am willing to work with you in any way possible to help you get those needs met.

Research shows that virtual sessions are an effective form of psychotherapy.  There will be some differences than what you would expect in my office.  I am using a videoconference platform that offers a high level of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

If you would like to discuss an option that works best for you, please feel free to contact me at the phone number and/or email address provided.

Please know – we will get through this together.  You are not alone.  One day this crisis will be over.  Remember during this time to practice self-care:  sleeping, eating properly, exercise.  Remember to take deep belly breaths and stretch out the stress that can store in your muscles.  Reach out to people who are safe to talk to.

I look forward to meeting you and offering you the best of my services during this time.

Take good care,

Janie Sheedy, LMFT
